If the Policy gets mislaid, at the request of the Insured or, as the case may be, of the Beneficiary, the Insurer will issue a copy or duplicate, which shall have the same value as the original.

The request shall be made in writing explaining the circumstances of the loss, evidence should be supplied of having notified the Policyholder, and the applicant should undertake to return the original Policy if it is found and compensate the Insurer for any damages occasioned by a third party claim.
